This book derives the fourth-order Runge–Kutta method from first principles, step by step, using Python as the derivation engine. No prior knowledge of differential equations is assumed. The reader is expected to know differential and integral calculus, including multivariable calculus.

Every formula in this book either follows directly from something the reader already knows, or is introduced and explained in the pages just before it appears. There is no leap of faith.
